Training & Continuing Education
At Black Widow®, staying ahead of pest and rodent behavior isn’t optional — it’s the foundation of effective Integrated Pest Management. Every year, our technicians complete continuing education and hands-on training to keep their methods grounded in the latest science, regulations, and field-tested techniques. The pests evolve, the buildings change, and the regulations shift. Our team trains so we’re always a step ahead.

Training with Dr. Robert “Bobby” Corrigan
We’re proud to train under Dr. Robert Corrigan, one of the most respected urban rodentologists in the world. Dr. Corrigan has spent more than 30 years studying rodent biology, behavior, and control. He is the principal instructor for the New York City Department of Health’s Rodent Control Academy, has authored four textbooks and over 160 technical articles, and serves as a rodent control consultant to cities across the United States and internationally. He has been featured in The New York Times, National Geographic, Time Magazine, The New Yorker, and CBS Sunday Morning.
For a New York City pest control company, there is simply no better source of rodent expertise. Learning directly from Dr. Corrigan means our technicians understand not just how to treat an infestation, but why rats and mice behave the way they do in dense urban environments — and how to stop infestations at the source rather than chasing symptoms.
